SUMMARY

As the Marketing Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational effectiveness and efficiency for marketing communications initiatives. This position works collaboratively across the organization to create project plans, schedules, timelines, tracks tasks, identifies key milestones, develops status reports to ensure marketing projects run smoothly and remain on schedule and within budget. Working in partnership with strategic marketing leads, the Marketing Project Manager supports the development of marketing plans, budgets, and execution of project schedules.

This position requires working out of our Ottawa, ON office with telework flexibility.

  • Creates scalable processes to track, manage, and update marketing projects while acting as lead for weekly touchpoints.
  • Develops milestones and reports metrics to share with clients and internal teams.
  • Oversees day-to-day marketing activities focused on the planning, managing, and executing of projects and timelines related to marketing campaigns.
  • Identifies operational tasks for strategic marketing campaigns, delegates those tasks to the appropriate team members, and track all tasks in Wrike.
  • Works with teams to create and manage calendars and project timelines to ensure content and projects get completed in a timely manner.
  • Executes marketing deliverables while prioritizing tasks and workflows in support of client marketing plans including identifying interdependencies, allocating resources, assigning responsibilities across functional teams, communicating expectations, and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of service excellence.
  • Identifies ways to improve processes and operations for the organization to drive key projects to completion.
  • Coordinates and manages production of marketing materials, including print, digital and video campaigns.
  • Manages the flow of materials through the approval processes and tracks/reports the status of projects.
  • Creates project charters, Wrike plans, timelines, schedules, provides insight, and communicates milestones.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.

As our next Marketing Project Manager, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Certified PMP, preferred.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in marketing communications.
  • 2-3 years agency or association experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite, PMO tools, Marketing Automation tools, Google Analytics Reporting, Word Press and Social Media platforms.
  • High level of energy and creativity with a "roll up your sleeves" working style.
  • Thinking outside of the box and coming up with new ways to streamline everyday workflows.
  • Ability to operate in a remote environment and with teams located in other offices.
  • Experience reporting within email marketing platforms, social media platforms, and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and work independently as a strong team player.
